Just because a winery has a limited budget doesn't mean it cannot deploy a professional marketing communications campaign that generates sales.

Benson Marketing Group has developed the Emerging Winery Communications Package, a robust and affordable set of tools tailored to the needs of wineries producing, typically, less than 20,000 cases. A comprehensive PR campaign is often too expensive for emerging wineries, who require a focus on direct-to-consumer sales, social media and cost-effective trade communications.

But emerging companies are underserved for two reasons. First, most PR agencies would rather spend their resources servicing only very large clients. Second, independent PR practitioners simply don't have the resources, expertise or network to bring big agency tools and experience to the table.

  • Story Pitching: Customized, creative and highly targeted story pitching tailored to reach the target demographics and markets.
  • Press Releases: Benson Marketing Group writes and distributes several search engine-optimized and SM-optimized press releases.
  • Press Samples: The agency reviews and advises clients on their press samples campaign.
  • Events Calendar: The agency provides access to its updated events and auctions calendar, and counsel on the best opportunities. 
  • Strategic Calendar: The entire campaign is organized into one calendar for easy management.
  • Reporting: Benson Marketing Group writes a monthly client report tracking progress on all tasks.

Pricing and Timeframe

  • Fees: $5,000+ per month, depending on goals and strategies.
  • Timeframe: Projects are often 6-9 months in length (with 30-day cancellation clause).
